Based on the demand of the Madhibaan People the IGAD facilitation committee
of the Somali Peace Negotiations in Nairobi had to issue the status and pass
(see below) to Mr. Yassin Hersi Jama in 2003. However, during the process, which
led to the establishment of the Transitional Federal Government on 10. Oktober
2004, 2 seats of the Transitional Federal Parliamanet were allocated by IGAD to
so called representatives within the quota of the conglomerate of the so called
5th Clan, who are neither the choice of the Madhibaan people nor recognized to
be of Madhibaan origin. Mr. Yassin Hersi Jama therefore did not agree to be
a further part to the process.
